Honestly there is no reason to use a Myron over a python, even for teamplay. The handling is poor making forge and swarm knocks deadly as you will struggle in vain to pull away from anything nearby. The acceleration is also poor so getting away from swarms and forges requires you to do almost nothing except run. Gunners don't get the ROF bonus and since you'll spend a good deal of time running they won't do much. The only perk is that you get an extra two seats in exchange for the pilot gun, which I would be okay with if the handling was better.
The python on the other hand has excellent handling combined with the ROF bonus allowing the dropship to provide exceptional cover fire and insert and extract troops with a much higher success rate. While it doesnt have as many seats it makes up for that in firepower and agility (honestly since squad cap is 6 this is better as you can have 5 in the python and the 6th in a tank for support) giving it the ability to hit tanks, turrets, other dropships and even provide close air support after the squad has jumped. You can preform strafe runs with gunners to soften a position before deploying the squad in and can assist your friendly tank even if the squad is deployed. Honestly the agility and handling alone makes the python superior over the Myron, considering a dropships main role is rapid deployment. Emphasis on rapid.
I don't have any solo fit pythons because I have found flying solo is boring after you have flown with a skilled crew. Its easily 10x more fun. I do love the Myron as that's where I started my dropship career, but its simply not up to date with current av and vehicles like the incubus (which my python isn't even a match for)
I do agree that solo ads are a nuisance and screw up the balance for standard dropships and teamplay ads, solo pythons wreak infantry with a super tank and incubi are basically fighters. A lot of these solo dropship pilots wanted to be fighter pilots but got the incubus instead of a real fighter.
Anyway, as a dedicated dropship pilot (who uses his dropship for its intended purpose) I can see no reason to use the Myron over the python, the python simply out classes the Myron in every aspect of dropshipping. Which is probably why its getting some more HP.
